When your truck squats from heavy towing or a loaded bed, steering and braking can feel off. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 1,000 lbs of rear support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and controlled. The microcellular urethane springs take on the extra weight so your factory suspension can maintain balance, traction, and proper headlight aim when you're hauling big loads or pulling a trailer.
Not every haul weighs the same, and that’s where the progressive load control comes in. The springs compress easily for lighter loads to give you a soft, smooth ride. As the weight increases, they firm up to handle heavier cargo—compressing by as much as 80 percent for extra support. This means less bounce and bottoming out on rough roads and a comfortable ride when unloaded.

When uneven loads or tight turns try to throw you around, these helper springs work independently to keep each side stable. That independent action helps reduce body roll in corners and compensates for off-center loads, so your vehicle stays planted and predictable whether you’re tackling mountain roads or crossing uneven driveways.
Forget about air lines, compressors, or pressure adjustments. The closed-cell urethane construction is completely maintenance-free and resists oil, salt, and UV damage while performing in temperatures from -25°F to 200°F. The springs compress vertically with minimal side movement so they fit in tight spaces without rubbing nearby parts. A simple no-drill installation gets you back on the road faster without extra components to maintain.

Best place to buy parts and accessories. Excellent customer service! (Shout out to Christian). This company goes above and beyond. Fast shipping.
Summo springs came well packaged and included all parts. Took less than a hour to install. Based off of my setup on my 2019+ Chevrolet Silverado RST with RAS already installed, I did not use the 2” spacer. The summo springs helped my rear sag issue when having max cargo capacity inside the truck and pulling a 7200 pound travel trailer on a 5 hour trip.
Great product. Works as expected.
My travel trailer pulls a lot better now. The SumoSprings reduce squat, reduce sway, and improve steering and handling. The ride is smooth too. They were really easy to install. You'll thank yourself for buying them.
Installed these SumoSprings on my 2019 Silverado RST 4x4 to help reduce bounce/sway when towing a small travel trailer. Very easy and fast installation (less than an hour total) and a perfect fit. Haven't towed trailer yet, but did hook up trailer and found the SumoSprings reduced truck rear sag by about an inch. Believe this will be a big improvement over stock bumpstops.
I love my blue sumo springs. They do not affect the overall ride in a negative way when daily driving. They help immensely with squat and stability when a heavy load is applied. I think they are must buy for a half ton pickup.
They fit just perfectly. I did not use the extra one inch spacer. I will be hooking up the trailer tomorrow, and will decide if I need the spacer.
Order shipped promptly and was as described. Install instructions were clear and no issues with install. Performance will be evaluated on next camping trip with truck loaded.
Easy to install and nice improvement in the ride while towing our 30ft travel trailer
Firmed up rear suspension without sacrificing smooth ride. Loctite was missing in shipment, it great customer service worked with to to send credit for the purchase I made. Great company!
Sumo Springs have been excellent on my 2024 Sierra 1500. I would not tow my camper without these. with no trailer, the ride is the same as OEM.
Took the roll out of my 2026 Silverado z71 with three 1200 pound hay bales on my bale mover . Rides great with out the trailer.
Work great!!!! Super easy install. Took me 20 minutes to install both springs. They reduced the sag on my Silverado by a little over an inch when hooked up to our RV.
Installation was relatively easy and straightforward. I haven't noticed a huge difference in ride quality yet but I haven't towed anything since installing them. I will edit my review as soon as I am able to put the sumo springs under a heavier load or find the time to get off road.
Installed these today on my 2020 Silverado Z71 4WD w/3.0 Duramax. Pretty straight forward installation. Took longer to find the right length extension than to install one side. I opted to leave the supplied spacer out at this time...it has an approx. 1/2" gap at the bottom. I'll tow my boat first to see if I need to add the spacer. Boat dropped the rear end approx. 2" before adding these springs. I appreciate the option to install the spacer without needing to order one later. I will update this after I see if the spacer is needed.
These are ideal for customers who occasionally tow or haul loads. That boat or cargo trailer is used a couple of times a year. There is an excellent compromise between the much firmer BLACK or YELLOW SumoSprings or even Timbrens, which both add load support while still providing an excellent ride without the load. I chose not to add the spacer on these to keep the support from engaging the axle unless the truck is truly loaded.
Too short. Even with the 1” spacer. Rear leafs compress 2” before the sumos even make contact. Another 1/2” and I’m already squatting. Did nothing to reduce sag. Stock 2020 Chevrolet 1500 WT. 2wd.

I contacted the manufacturer and showed them your photos. It is very rare, but your truck is taller than most. They will send you a taller spacer.
I haven't installed these yet, but it looks fairly straightforward. I can see how they'll help with sag when I use my equipment trailer with substantial tongue weight.

After a year these Sumosprings are performing as anticipated. Slightly stiffer ride empty, but a welcome addition when hauling trailers with substantial tounge weight. They minimize sag and really help with sway.
I tow a 24' travel trailer with 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Without Sumo Springs the ride could get bouncy on interstate. With Sumo Springs the ride was not bouncy and the truck seemed to have better control of the travel trailer. Definitely a good purchase and product to meet my needs.

The Sumo springs are still doing their job and I am happy with the performance when towing.
Installed these right before a long road trip, and were impressed with how much the ride improved. Opted not to include the spacers, which has worked out fine. While not towing have not noticed any change to the ride, which is good. When towing the steering has a solid grip on the road now (sometimes felt a little loose before installing these) and no more issues with 'porpoising'. We drove across a several mile long bridge in the Bay Area that likely would have been a roller coaster ride previously, and had no issues. Quick and easy to install.

One of my favorite things to recommend Kevin, the feedback is always so great on what a difference they make! What are you mainly towing that needed the extra support?
worst shipping ever, i will rethink my purchasing choices next time
I like the fit and finish of the Sumo Springs. The springs were easy to install and they look great on my 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500.
My RV is in the shop, i have not had a chance to tow anything heavy and feel the difference. I'm confident that I'll see less sag and better stability when towing.

Hi Luis, I'm happy to hear install was easy and you feel confident these will improve your ride quality. Feel free to update us once you get the chance to test them out.
Nothing bad on etrailer part. The product is ok. It does affect the unloaded ride. I have a 2021 GMC Sierra. All stock suspension. I added in the 1” spacers. If you hit a bump there is a noticeable stop when making contact on the spring. However without the spacer it allows the truck to squat more than I want and trailer is not level. I prefer the airbag as I had on my last truck. When weather breaks I’ll probably do that. Don’t really feel this is worth the money. I wouldn’t buy again.

Not worth it. If you’re going to make this change get the air bags.
The Sumo springs work well for us. Installation was easy. Put a full load in the truck and travel trailer this weekend adjusting the weight distribution hitch. We like how they ride when engaged. No real jarring. Pretty smooth ride. As far as unloaded all good. The wife didn't notice that I even installed them.
2024 Z71 Silverado towing a travel trailer. Prior to these springs, the truck would bounce and sag. With the SumoSprings, truck is stable and sags less. Unloaded truck drives like factory. Easy install on my own.
I was surprised at how much of a difference these actually make. I bought them based on some videos of others using them, but wasn't sure if they would actually make much difference in my situation. I tow a 6800lb trailer with a Silverado 1500. With the tongue weight of that trailer, the rear of the truck doesn't drop all that much and I wasn't sure if replacing the bump stops was even necessary, but when I'm on roads with "heaves" and especially bridges where porpoising can be a problem, these SumoSpring certainly help. You probably won't notice some huge drastic change, but it's just enough to matter and even out the ride to a noticeable degree. Also, they're pretty easy to install (and I'm only barely handy when it comes to this stuff.)

I'm glad that the Sumos helped with the handling, David! And I think your pretty handy if you can get these installed :)
Opted for the Blue 1000lb Sumo's w/spacer over the 1500lb Black ones. 1500 Silverado Max Tow & reduces squatting by 2" on a 1000lb+ tongue weight. Ride is still good, but you can feel the Sumo's engage over large dips or bumps which is not an issue for me.

After using the SumoSprings for a year now, I found them to very helpful when towing either my travel trailer or boat. Rear sag on the truck is reduced about an inch and towing is much more stable with reduced bounce. Excellent product.
